A Lot Is in Motion, Big Hopes for What’s Ahead |September 2026

A message from our CEO, Karan Singh

This has been a season of change for our team, and for Nepal.
Like so many organizations right now, we're doing more with less. Resources are tighter than they once were, but that hasn't slowed us down. If anything, it's brought our team closer together. We've had to be more intentional about where we focus, which means doubling down on where it matters the most: agroecology and health, the two pillars that shape the daily lives of the communities we work with.
Through all of it, our team remains united and motivated. There is a lot to look forward, and we're grateful to keep building it together, with you.

Program Spotlight

Agroecology

Learning Across Borders on Food and Agroecology

In September 2026, two members of our Agroecology team traveled to Meghalaya, India, for an exchange visit organized by our agroecology partner, Fastenaktion.
The visit centered mainly on three things:

Healthier, more resilient food systems. Learning how communities can build food systems that are stronger, more nutritious and better able to withstand change.

Indigenous foods and the knowledge behind them. Exploring how to preserve traditional foods, and the knowledge passed from one generation to the next.

Agroecology in practice. Seeing first-hand how agroecology projects are run in the villages of Meghalaya.

The exchange gave our team a common understanding of what agroecology is and practical lessons to bring back to the communities we work with in Kalikot.

Impact Trip to Oda

You planted the seed. Come see it bloom.
We have two impact journeys coming up in March 2027 and September/October 2027. This is unique opportunity to travel off the beaten track to rural Nepal and get to visit our base in Kailkot. 100% of the proceeds from these trip go directly to the Oda Foundation to support our health, education, livelihood and women's programmes in the communities which you will come to know.

On this journey, you will share meals, swap stories and learn from teachers, farmers, students and people on the ground who lead this work. Along the way you can enjoy the nature of the Karnali region, from kayaking down the Karnali river to hiking to amazing viewpoints, all while building a lasting connection with a community, it's culture and way of life. Learn more about the trip here.

Every share, every conversation, every contribution moves our work forward.

Thank you for being part of it.
